Two Welsh seashores have been voted among the many UK’s greatest. Tenby North Seaside and Llandudno West Shore Seaside each featured within the prime 12 in keeping with a survey of 70,000 individuals.
The survey by Travelodge, which described the Llandudno seaside — sixth within the rankings — as “one of the vital lovely spots in north Wales”, framed by undulating sand dunes and the Nice Orme headland. Its placement on the quieter aspect of the city means it gives a “peaceable retreat from the bustle of the pier and arcade”, the lodge chain says in its listing.
“You may marvel at breathtaking views of Conwy Bay and estuary, and even see the Snowdonia (Eryri) mountains on a transparent day,” it provides.
“It’s even higher at low tide, while you’ll take pleasure in a a lot wider stretch of sand to play seaside video games, discover rockpools, or simply sit and watch the boats go by.”

The second highest-ranking slice of Welsh coast was Tenby North Seaside (twelfth) which gained votes for its “rugged cliffs on one aspect and a pastel-hued city and harbour on the opposite”.
The listing reads: “It’s so lovely that it was even named ‘one of the vital photogenic seashores’ on the earth, rivalling its extra well-known counterparts in Bondi and Bali.”
The highest 10 seashores have been named as Bournemouth, Bamburgh, Brighton, Scarborough, Blackpool Pleasure, Llandudno West Shore, St Ives, Weymouth, Whitby and Blackpool Sands.
Half of these surveyed by lodge chain Travelodge stated they plan to go to a seaside this summer season.
Nearly two-thirds of respondents stated they take pleasure in strolling alongside a seaside and one in 5 make sure that they purchase fish and chips.
The most important bugbears embody litter, costly parking and lack of bogs.
