After a heavy downpour of rain in Cardiff over the weekend, clients at a well-liked leisure centre watched water pour by the ceiling.

The Crimson Dragon Centre skilled a big leak in its roof as rain poured over Cardiff Bay on Sunday night, with clients having to dodge the puddle.

Though Wales has been blessed with some days of excessive temperatures and sunny spells, the rain made a comeback final week in Cardiff.

At round 6.30pm on Sunday, July 20, a heavy bathe of rain got here down onto Cardiff leaving the roof leaking on the widespread leisure and meals centre in Cardiff Bay.

Fireplace crews from South Wales Fireplace and Rescue had been referred to as to the centre as a result of flooding contained in the constructing.

A spokesperson for the SWFRS mentioned: “SWFRS obtained a name at roughly 18:59 to help on the Crimson Dragon Centre, Cardiff resulting from flooding.

“Crews and equipment from Penarth attended the scene and offered security recommendation to the accountable individuals on web site.”

Th space was blocked off and by 8.30pm on Sunday night the leak was absolutely cleared and the difficulty has been resolved.

A spokesperson for the Crimson Dragon Centre mentioned: “The Crimson Dragon Centre had a leak in its roof at roughly 6:30pm on Sunday night, which was absolutely cleared by 8:30pm.

“The difficulty has since been utterly resolved.

“It had no impression on buying and selling and the centre is open as ordinary.”
