The physique of a lady was recovered from a reservoir on Sunday (August 17). Emergency crews rushed to Strinesdale Reservoir in Higher Manchester at roughly 4pm following reviews of a lady ‘entering into issue’ within the water.
A rescue mission was mounted with the neighborhood, close to Waterworks Street, between Oldham and Delph, being cordoned off. The hearth brigade’s specialist water incident staff was known as in.
Tragically, a lady’s physique was later retrieved, at roughly 6.25pm, Higher Manchester Police confirmed in a press release issued this morning (Monday). A power spokesperson stated: “Emergency providers responded to an incident at Strinesdale Reservoir at round 4:50pm yesterday (Sunday 17 August 2025) after reviews of a lady entering into issue within the water.
“Sadly, the physique of a lady was recovered. There are not any suspicious circumstances surrounding her dying.”
No further particulars concerning the girl or the circumstances have but been disclosed, as reported by the MEN.
