The deliberate merger between Shutterstock and Getty Pictures presents a “substantial” threat to competitors in line with UK regulators, prompting an in-depth investigation.

The Competitors and Markets Authority (CMA) opened the preliminary investigation section in August after figuring out there was adequate threat that the merger of the 2 corporations would hurt competitors within the inventory picture market.
