A well known Norwich businessman and property agent, Alan Gordon Ebbage, has died aged 103.
From the late Nineteen Fifties to the mid-Nineteen Eighties, Ebbage was one of many metropolis’s most distinguished property figures, identified for his entrepreneurial strategy and modern advertising and marketing.
Born in Norwich in 1922, he left college at 14 to work as an workplace boy earlier than serving within the Royal Air Power through the Second World Conflict, stationed in North Africa and Italy.
After qualifying as a Fellow of The Auctioneers and Landed Property Brokers, he launched his personal enterprise from his mother and father’ dwelling in 1950 earlier than forming Potter and Ebbage, and later establishing A G Ebbage in 1958. His agency expanded quickly throughout Norfolk, using greater than 100 individuals at its peak, with branches in Norwich, Wymondham, Wroxham and Martham.

Alan Ebbage died on 20 Octoberat St John’s Care House, Norwich.
