Escaped convict Liam Wall arrested and again in custody following police hunt

A prisoner that escaped has been arrested following a police hunt. Liam Wall, 36, is now in custody, police say.

Gwent Police confirmed that the convict had been arrested on the night of Tuesday, December 16 after escaping on Sunday. After he fled from HMP Prescoed the power appealed for assist from the general public and warned that he shouldn’t be approached underneath any circumstances.

Wall was convicted of drug offences at Cardiff Crown court docket in 2017. He was described as being about 5 foot eight inches tall, bald, with brown eyes and a brown beard.

A spokesperson for the power stated: “Liam Wall, 36, who absconded from HMP Prescoed, on Sunday 14 December, has now been arrested. He is at present in police custody.

“Thanks for sharing our attraction.” The arrest comes after Gwent Police activated an operational plan to seek out the prisoner.

Wall was one in all 4 members of a medication gang that have been jailed as a result of their involvement in operating “the busiest medication line in Cardiff”. He was caught with two others when driving a blue BMW on the M4 at Coldra in November 2016 as they travelled from Liverpool, the place they’d been to purchase extra medication.
