Two Indian eateries in Wales have been recognised as among the most interesting within the UK on the annual Asian and Restaurant Awards. The ceremony, held in Manchester on Monday, 25 September, noticed two Welsh institutions take house high honours of their respective classes.
Sopna Tandoori, situated in Caernarfon, Gwynedd, was awarded ‘Asian Restaurant of the 12 months – Wales’, whereas Empire Indian Restaurant in Cardiff clinched the title of ‘Asian Restaurant of the 12 months – South Wales’.
