A brand new 254,000 sq ft drone manufacturing facility will open within the English city of Swindon in 2026 as a part of a UK growth from European defence tech group Tekever.
The Lisbon-headquartered agency already has a handful of working places within the UK, with the brand new Swindon web site stated to be the corporate’s largest within the UK thus far.
The Swindon web site would be the firm’s fourth within the UK and is projected to create as many as 1,000 jobs.
In accordance with Tekever, the brand new manufacturing unit will produce the corporate’s AR3 autonomous unmanned aerial system (UAS) drones and for the primary time carry manufacturing of its AR5 UAS drones to the UK.
The Portuguese defence tech firm has been a major manufacturing associate of the UK and its allies in recent times, with the British authorities having purchased £270m of Tekever drones in assist of Ukrainian forces.
