Mental property group of 21 legal professionals jumps to Sheppard Mullin

Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton has acquired a 21-lawyer group of mental property legal professionals from Ropes & Grey that features 5 companions.

One of many legal professionals making the transfer is Steven Pepe, chair of Ropes & Grey’s IP follow group, report Bloomberg Regulation, Regulation.com and a Sept. 18 press launch.

The group “joins and expands” Sheppard Mullin workplaces in New York, Silicon Valley, Seoul and Washington, D.C., in keeping with the press launch.

Pepe instructed Regulation.com that Sheppard Mullin’s shoppers in South Korea and Asia supplied “an excellent alignment for us.” And the regulation agency “has one of many strongest reputations in IP litigation and IP usually,” he mentioned.

In an announcement revealed by Bloomberg and Regulation.com, Ropes & Grey mentioned it “stays absolutely dedicated to the continuing development of our IP transactions follow, in addition to strengthening our presence in key markets, together with the West Coast.
