The fascism is actual, y’all. Present New York Metropolis Comptroller and candidate for mayor Brad Lander was arrested by masked federal ICE brokers as he exited an immigration courtroom. There’s video of the incident, and it’s deeply chilling, significantly in a so-called democracy.

Lander could be heard within the video saying, “I’m not obstructing – I’m standing proper right here within the hallway, I requested to see the judicial warrant. You don’t have authority to arrest a U.S. citizen asking for a judicial warrant.” Getting arrested for asking questions is a disturbing new development for the Trump administration.

Within the midst of guarantees of “mass deportations” from the administration the place ICE is concentrating on immigration courts for arrests, Lander spent the morning observing immigration courtroom hearings and instructed the AP he was accompanying immigrants out of the constructing.
