Lengthy-serving property agent Michael Clark who was former Royal Establishment of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) president, has handed away.
Clark spent his profession working for his household agency St John Smith in East Sussex, having joined the property company in 1950.
Clark, who served as RICS president from 1987-88, retired in 1992 – the identical 12 months, he turned Grasp of the Worshipful Firm of Chartered Surveyors.
RICS mentioned in an announcement: “It’s with nice disappointment we announce the passing of our former RICS president, Michael Clark, on 12 November 2025. Michael was president from July 1987 to 1988.
“Michael began his profession at his household’s agency, St John Smith, in East Sussex in 1950. All through his profession, Michael held a number of influential positions that superior the surveying occupation. He served as chairman of the Charges Committee in 1974 and later of the Skilled Observe Committee in 1979.
“Whereas on the Skilled Observe Committee, Michael labored on key initiatives, together with introducing modifications that allowed chartered surveyors to function as LLCs.
