Sandbanks stays the UK’s costliest seaside city

Sandbanks in Dorset has retained its crown as Britain’s costliest coastal location, in accordance with Rightmove.

New knowledge from the property portal reveals that property in Sandbanks command a median asking value of £1,282,565.

Canford Cliffs in Poole is second, with a median asking value of £974,635, and Milford-on-Sea in Hampshire is third (£728,460).

Throughout the highest 50 costliest coastal areas, common asking costs are down by 1%, whereas purchaser demand is up by 8%

In contrast, Saltcoats in Ayrshire, Scotland is the most cost effective coastal space, with a median asking value of £122,208. Peterlee in County Durham is an in depth second (£122,246), and Ashington in Northumberland is third (£135,050).

Saltcoats can also be the value progress hotspot, with common asking costs within the space up by 13% in comparison with final 12 months.

Saltcoats provides a location by the ocean, with a median asking value of over £250,000 under the nationwide common (£378,240).

Rightmove’s Colleen Babcock mentioned: “Sandbanks now stands out as the one seaside spot with a median asking value of over the million-pound mark.

“In contrast, lower-priced seaside spots like Saltcoats and Peterlee provide home-movers a sea view at a fraction of the value, with common asking costs over 1 / 4 of one million kilos under the nationwide common.”
