US agency to take a position £3.9bn in Hertfordshire knowledge centre

Californian digital infrastructure firm Equinix has introduced plans to take a position £3.9bn into an information centre improvement in Hertfordshire.

The location, which will likely be constructed on an 85-acre plot of land lately acquired by the corporate, will add 250+ MW of compute capability to the UK.

There have been plans to put a serious knowledge centre within the plot since 2024, initially beneath the title DC01UK.

Equinix stated building of the location will generate 2,500 native jobs, with the absolutely operational facility to create 200 everlasting roles.
